FCC reveals LG Windows Phone for Sprint?

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 | 01:00

This isn't the first time we've seen the LG Windows Phone LS831.  It's appeared on WP Bench and we first caught wind of the device being at the FCC back in October 2011 but only had the FCC ID label to show for it.  There's even some speculation this is the LG Fantasy.  Now we have pictures (doesn't look like the leaked pics of the Fantasy) and more information that could make the LS831 Sprints new Windows Phone.
FCC documentation on the LG LS831 indicates this Windows Phone support CDMA in the EMSR 800MHz band. A band used by Sprint.  The LG Windows Phone also supports the 1900MHz CDMA band.  Along with the banding, you also have a Sprint/Nextel Waiver included in the FCC Documentation that ties the mysterious device to Sprint.

Nokia Fluid spotted at Occasional Gamer stats

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 | 09:58

The game statistics kept by the software houses are often a very important source to steal peeks at new output device. Among the devices included in the statistics of Occasional Gamer figure, the reference to the Nokia Fluid , a device apparently unpublished. The Occasional Gamer titles are developed for the platform Windows Phone . The alleged new smartphone from the Finnish manufacturer should therefore be based on Microsoft's mobile operating system.
Occasional Gamer has assets of 15 games available for the Windows Phone. A section of the blog Occasional Gamer is dedicated to the keeping of statistical devices that are used with more developed securities. The reference to the Nokia Fluid is clear even if the classification can reveal nothing about the technical .
Particularly interesting is the reference to another device contained in the same rank, Qualcomm Fluid. Might wonder whether there might be a connection between two devices:

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Thursday, March 22, 2012 | 03:13

MSnerd is an "anonymous" user f who has been pretty reliable when it comes to Microsoft leaks. From a question put to him on reddit.com here comes his statement regarding the release of Windows Phone 8 terminals for first and second generation.

These are the words of MSnerd about upgrading to Windows 8 Phone:
"There are hopes for Windows Phone users to receive first and second generation of Windows Phone 8?
Yes, all phones Windows Phone will receive a subset of Apollo.  operators are the main obstacle in the United States.  Microsoft has pushed hard for the release of Mango in a short time for everyone, as well as Nokia and HTC.Some features of Apollo will be exclusive to Terminal 3 generation who should be released this fall using the MSM8960 platform."
See the release of Windows Phone 8 also on the devices of the first generation would be without doubt a coup for Microsoft and would give users much confidence about purchasing new smartphones with Windows Phone OS.

Sonic the Hedgehog: Episode II - will soon be playable on Xbox and Windows Phone (video)

Microsoft promised a few years ago three platforms with a single interface, a dream that is probably coming to completion thanks to the work being completed, the next operating system Windows 8. A benefit will not be the only PC, tablet and notebook, but also on smartphones with Windows mobile segment that will receive the long-awaited update to the so called 'Apollo'.
Among the innovations introduced by the new release will also be able to use the same games across all three platforms, with a synchronization system that will allow you to play the Xbox since the last save and resume directly to  Windows Phone . Among the first titles that will support this exciting news we have the ever-popular Sonic come to life thanks to Sega, which is making available on Android , iPhone OS and PlayStation 3.
The fourth saga will be called Sonic the Hedgehog: Episode II and the complete compatibility with all platforms 'Metro style' that we have within the year, we do not know if it added a cross-platform extended to other competitors. Certainly, it makes little edging edging that Microsoft is reaching the unification of run-time system from Google on Android, a system that certainly will help developers that have a single code to carry on and end-users who will benefit from products that are perfectly interacting.

Stephen Elop: Nokia Lumia coming to China on March 28th

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 | 05:38

Another important move for the spread of smartphones Lumia is being made by Nokia. The Windows Phone the Finnish manufacturer will make their debut in the important Chinese market from next March 28 as it was confirmed by Nokia CEO Stephen Elop.
Nokia has failed to arrive first in the Chinese market with devices based on the operating system of Redmond. For several days, in fact, HTC has already started to offer Chinese users the Titan . The delay from the Finnish, however, does not seem to be excessive, given that by the end of March Lumia also try to make a breach between the Chinese public.
Not yet been announced models that will be distributed by the two national telephone operators China Telecom and China Unicom. And 'argument holds that it will be variants of the Lumia Lumia 800 and 710. Recall that in the past weeks the rumors first referred to the CDMA version of Lumia 800 .
Yet to assess the reception that the Chinese public to reserve Nokia Lumia. In China the company has managed to expand the installed base of devices Sybmian and telephone operators engaged in the marketing of Lumia will be an important tool for "ferry" the user from the previous proposal for a new platform to Nokia.
