NPD Group has published the latest data on the distribution of current operating systems for smartphones for the U.S. market and the report shows a system Android still in the midst of its growth at the expense of his arch rival iPhone OS since the beginning of the year shown a continuous decline, yielding market share to the Google platform.
The first quarter of 2012 saw a net gain by Android, which has risen from 49% to 61%, but iPhone has had the opposite effect down from 41% to 29%, percentage shares virtually ceded to the Android platform.
