Huawei Ascend D Quad delayed due to the quad-core cpu

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 | 02:51

Huawei Ascend D Quad is the smartphone spotted at Mobile World Congress last year that has greatly impressed critics and audiences with excellent performances from the four-core processor combined with a particularly thin and attractive design and materials of excellent workmanship. Now it seems that the sales of the much expected smartphone  will be delayed once again and expected to be ready for sale in August/September and the reason is  the production problems of the quad-core CPU based on its proprietary Cortex A9, created and optimized by the manufacturer.

This statement issued by Chengdong Yu, Huawei's Consumer Business Group CEO.
We encountered some technical problems in the production of quad-core CPU, which consequently caused the delay in production. Huawei is working hard to solve any problem and it seems to start mass production of the device during the month of August.
This translates into actual availability of the smartphone is not the first of September, between the presentation of the new iPhone 5 , the mass arrival of the new generation of devices Windows Phone 8 and the top of the line Android HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S3 and LG Optimus 4X with already several months ahead of the market.
According to the company to reach the goal to distribute more than 60 million smartphones by 2012 has not yet faded, but the real kingmaker in the success of this device can be ruled solely by the price
In fact the recent press conference, we have seen, it seems that the manufacturer wants to bet almost anything on the Christmas market and is not excluded that Ascend D Quad may not arrive until the fall.

Huawei says its ready for the launch of its smartphone with Windows Phone 8?

Huawei has focused heavily on Android during MWC 2012, showing the public a wide range of excellent smartphones based on that platform. However, with the imminent arrival of Windows Phone 8 by the end of this year Huawei also like Samsung and (maybe) Sony may decide to produce even a smartphone based on that OS, passing by a little green robot competition to the Windows Phone.

Sources close to the manufacturer will admit that the staff of Huawei is working closely with the guys at Microsoft, employing about 70 engineers for the project that could give birth to one of the upcoming smartphone with Windows Phone Apollo.
It is rumored that if Huawei did not prove happy with the numbers that might get a smartphone with Windows Phone 8, his eyes can move the world and thereby create a terminal Tablet with Windows 8 with support for LTE networks. Of note, Huawei has become a full primary interest to the Android platform to the side to Windows Phone. Maybe the number "8" has a kind of magic that draws if most manufacturers and operators!
These are the only information we were able to take the time and that, frankly, could very curious given the success that the OEM has obtained at MWC in Barcelona, with its latest smartphones, according to many with whom he expressed much of his potential that remained untapped so far.
We'll see.

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Thursday, March 29, 2012 | 04:36

Huawei has recently made public the plans for selling the smartphone market to be achieved during the year. Important goals after the warm welcome of the Mobile World Congress 2012  with the hope to reach 60 million devices which the company says will be shipped by the end of the year, focusing mainly on high-end market.

Richard Yu said at a press conference that the industry mobile device is about to undergo huge changes that will lead to survival of only three or four producers and Huawei will be among these. At the time Apple holds 70% of the profits of the sector, while Samsung is holding the remaining 20%, leaving little room for others, and it is here that the Chinese manufacturer will play his cards focusing on quality as number one priority and the strengthening of the brand throughout the world.
The President of Huawei, however, dodging the question whether there could be enough space for two Chinese manufacturers of phones like the current situation shows, Huawei and ZTE, reaffirming that the quality of products to determine the winner.
"Within a year we hope to become a company of 100 billion dollars ..."
For 2012, the company relies on recently introduced products such as Huawei Ascend D Quad and XL focusing on an aggressive price and on a hardware platform that the initial tests look promising. If the store will give you reason Huawei is one of the brands to be taken into serious consideration in the mobile market.
