Nokia showing the new features of Symbian Belle Feature Pack 1 (Video)

Although it was made ​​official a couple of months ago and released in the first half of April, Nokia has decided to upload a new video on its YouTube channel to quickly explain some of the most important new features introduced with Symbian FP1 Belle.

Are this the first images of Symbian Belle FP2?

While waiting for the release of Symbian Belle FP1 for the second generation of S ^ 3 and having seen the first results of HTML5 Belle FP2 Browser.And now few hours ago have  appeared the first images of a new version of Symbian.

Unfortunately we can not verify if the images are related only to Symbian FP2 Belle or even Carla.

Based on the screenshot, the new features are:

1. New on-screen qwerty keyboard (adopt from Windows Phone qwerty model)
2. New Lock screen without Unlock Button
3. New method (Swipe to unlock) to unlock the screen
4. New Version and New UI Music Player
5. New Interface for Option (Now with Blue button - Look a like on Meego Harmattan)

Future updates still coming to 1st generation Symbian^3 devices

The update to Symbian Belle FP 1 will be available only for Nokia 603, 700 and 701 , but the first generation of smartphones S ^ 3 will not be abandoned.

As has happened in the past months with the S60 5th edition, Nokia said on its support forum that the N8, E7, E6, X7, 500, C6 and C7-01 will continue to receive updates and bug fixes.

So, always hoping in community work, the first generation of S ^ 3 will still be supported in a formal way for a long time.

New widgets coming to Nokia Belle?

Nokia Store QML: new update 3.22.053 has been released

The Nokia Beta Labs continue with the development of QML Store dedicated to Symbian smartphones, releasing a new update that brings the version number to 3.22.053 . The new release comes in two weeks after the previous upgrade and can be installed on devices Symbian ^ 3, and Anna Belle .

Belle update coming 8th of February says Nokia Vietnam

Belle is coming to your Nokia N8, E7, C7, X7, E6 and C6-01 in February, that we already knew. Now Nokia’s Vietnamese site is claiming with big letters that the update is arriving 8th of February. Nokia 500 isn’t mentioned for some reason, but Nokia has said the update to come for it as well.

Thinking how these firmware updates work, Vietnam wont certainly be the only country getting the update by that date so that’s the likely date of when the Belle roll out will start. It could be of course that Nokia’s Vietnamese page has gotten ahead of it’s time, like Swedish Nokia page advertising N9 release date too early.
