Unlocked HTC Titan and HTC Radar receiving software update

If you have an unlocked/non-branded HTC Titan and HTC Radar , then you should go plug your phone to your pc/laptop and start Zune Desktop software as HTC has begun pushing out what looks to be a minor software update to its two second gen.WP smartphones.

The spoken update will update the firmware, the version of the bootloader and software radio.No explanation instead on improvements with this update.
The following information on the number of updated versions:
  • Firmware - 1600.2200.20501.401
  • Bootloader - 2.5.160015.3 (137079)
  • Software Radio - 16.23.06.10_ 16.32.00.23U

Nokia preparing to release a firmware update for Nokia Lumia 710?

It seems that Nokia is about to release a firmware update for the Nokia Lumia 710 Lumia after yesterdays release of it seems the same firmware for its bigger sibling the Nokia Lumia 800.
By accessing Navifirm, in fact, there is a new version numbered 1600.3015.8107.12070 available for download in the Nokia Care Suite for some variations and it is likely that this update will be released globally. 
The firmware has more or less the same numbers as those for Nokia Lumia 800 of which we have posted yesterday , and could bring with him the same news for the Lumia 710, namely: the best performance of the battery, camera and sound.

Couple of days we have reported that new firmware update is coming to Nokia Lumia 800. Now it seems the testing is over and Nokia has begun rolling the firmware update to users in Singapore and probably the rest of the world will follow soon enough. As has been reported by users, with this update Nokia and Microsoft should add application camera following shooting modes:
  • Smart group shot
  • Landscape
  • Action
  • Self Timer
All users who have flash their phones earlier this week and the ones that got the update via Zune, also noticed better battery life, a new Diagnostic Tool and Bass in the audio playback

New firmware for Nokia Lumia 800 coming soon, Nokia preparing to improve the camera performance

XDA has been reported on the presence of a new firmware for Lumia 800, numbered as version 1600.2487.8107.12070 and dedicated for the vodafone customers in New Zealand. 


The firmware, which has not yet been released, should bring important new features to the photo department, as has been promised for several weeks by Nokia.





As has been reported by users and configuration files of the rom, with this update Nokia and Microsoft should add application camera following shooting modes:
  • Smart group shot
  • Landscape
  • Action
  • Self Timer

All users who have tried to flash their phones have also noticed better battery life, a new Diagnostic Tool and Bass in the audio playback

Nokia Belle officially brings video recording at 30 fps with continuous autofocus

Nokia user who will install the new Nokia Belle platform release on their devices will notice a new, streamlined camera UI, similar to the Beta Labs N8 Camera update.

Moreover, the update brings along 30fps video recording and continuous autofocus in video close-up mode (though only N8 will benefit from it), along with a series of other enhancements.

With Nokia Belle downloads starting this week, more people will have access to the great camera features we offered as a preview in the Camera Update for Nokia N8, namely 30fps video recording and continuous autofocus in video close-up mode (where supported)*.


On top of that, the camera UI in Belle has been further improved compared to the earlier application update.  For example, the placement of the on-screen shutter button was changed for better ergonomics in landscape and portrait orientation, and the main controls were moved to the bottom of the viewfinder for a cleaner look.

Nokia Belle update rolling out for Symbian Anna devices

Nokia has started rolling Belle update to existing Symbian^3 Anna devices worldwide The update would bring new features such as 6 home screens instead of 3 in Anna, Resizable and movable widgets, New and improved browser, Notification bar, Revamped camera interface, new suite of powerful business apps from Microsoft and Informative lock screen.

The update is version 111.030.0609, the latest available version of Nokia Belle, even for the Nokia 701. That means that owners of an N8, E7, X7, C7, E6, C6-01 and Oro will be on par software-wise with phones that launched with Belle.

The update will come to devices in countries like India, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Poland, UK, Germany, Italy, Vietnam and Indonesia. It would be available for Nokia 500 in few weeks. You can check if it’s available for your Symbian^3 device in your country from Nokia Belle page.

A new update for LG Optimus 7( Version 7.10.8107)

Surprisingly, here comes a new update to the operating system for LG Optimus 7, this update fixes several minor bugs found in previous versions.

Plaffo is noting that their LG Optimus 7 just received the very same update: The version of the operating system goes specifically to version 7.10.8107.79.More exciting is the news that it came with a list of changes, most of which will make most folks very happy: 
  • It solves a problem of the keyboard on the screen, preventing the keyboard to disappear while typing Resolves an issue with syncing Gmail 
  • It solves a problem of access to the location. 
  • After the upgrade, the function IO hub sends to Microsoft anonymous information contact the Wi-Fi access points and antennas for mobile phones in the vicinity, only if you have allowed access to and use of location information from part of the "I'm here." 
  • Revocation of certificates issued by DigiCert Sdn Bhd to solve a problem of encryption 
  • Fixes a problem with the e-mail related to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. 
  • When you reply to or forward an email, the original message is now included in the response. 
  • Fixes an issue of notification of voicemail
