ZTE N880E, First Android Jelly Bean 4.1 Smartphone in China

ZTE Corporation (ZTE) launched the ZTE N880E, which is a first Android Jelly Bean 4.1 handset in China. And, listed as the third Android Jelly Bean smartphone in the world. Jelly Bean used is Google Experience version.

More information about ZTE N880E, the phone has a 4.0 inch capacitive touchscreen WVGA resolution (480x800 pixels). Embedded processor chipset which is a 1GHz Qualcomm 7627A. Internal memory is provided which is 4GB, which seems large enough to accommodate a variety of multimedia files. Provided the microSD card slot.

ZTE preparing to compete with the Galaxy Notes with two smartphones coming out this year

ZTE Announced New Windows Phone Device named Orbit

The ZTE Orbit joins the ZTE Tania smartphone in the company’s portfolio of Windows Phone-based devices. The ZTE Tania is commercially available in the UK and Sweden and other countries around the world. 
“Microsoft is excited to continue partnering with ZTE to bring new Windows Phones to market.  We look forward to the availability of ZTE Orbit in major markets around the world in the second quarter of 2012,” said Mark Linton, Senior Director of the OEM Division, Microsoft.  
“The Windows Phone platform is as powerful as it is intuitive, enabling us to create and deliver exciting new devices that meet real consumer demand,” saidMr. He Shiyou,Executive Vice President and Head of the Terminal Division of ZTE. “Our partnership with Microsoft is a key component of our strategy to grow our share of the smartphone market. ZTE is proud to be at the forefront of device manufacturers who are using the Windows Phone platform.”
The ZTE Orbit is based on the latest version of Windows Phone and comes with 4GB of memory, HD Voice, and a 5Mpx autofocus camera with LED flash. The ZTE Orbit will be available in the second quarter of this year.


ZTE To Unveil New Windows Phones At MWC 2012

ZTE revealed their plans to unveil new Windows Phones. They claim that they are going to be releasing a flagship, quad-core handset, on top of devices with LTE, 4G radio, and “the latest Android and Windows Mobile platforms.” Now, the question here is, what OS will that flagship device be running. If Android, will they be creating a Windows Phone counterpart?

ZTE already has a Windows Phone device in the market called Tania. ZTE Tania sports 4.3” TFT LCD screen, HSPA+ data speeds, and a 1.0 GHz single-core processor,  5-megapixel rear camera and 4 GB of storage.

ZTE announces two Android 4.0 smartphones just before MWC

The Chinese manufacturer ZTE is ready to show two new smartphones with Android 4.0 at the upcoming MWC 2012. The first is the  ZTE PF200  features a 4.3-inch and QHD resolution (540 × 960), 8-megapixel rear camera and front not yet revealed.
Full connectivity with support for LTE, UMTS and GSM, a chip NFC, DLNA and MHL connector. Unknown processor even if the clock will be equal to 1.2 and probably Dual Core, 1GB RAM, presumably.

The ZTE N910 provides a lower resolution display, WVGA ( 800 × 480 ), a 5 megapixel rear camera and front unspecified. Also in this case the details of the processor and RAM are missing although this model seems to have a single core processor 1.5GHz

Tango will be released in mainland China in the first three weeks of March.

Chinese website WPDang has shared some more news about the next big Windows Phone update named Tango.

According to WPDang website all Mango devices can be updated to Tango, and in China special modifications will be included.

The Chinese specific changes will include :
  • Tango of China would have the Xbox Live function removed
  • WeiBo (Chinese version of Twitter) and RenRen (Chinese version of Facebook) would be used to replace Twitter and Facebook which cannot be accessed in China
  • Bing search result would be based on a combination of Bing and BaiDu, the Chinese no.1 search engine
Tango will be announced at Mobile World Congress 2012 and will launch in Beijing in China at an event in the 3rd week of March, attended by HTC, Nokia, ZTE and LG who will be showing their Tango-powered devices off there.

ZTE Light 2: New entry-level tablet

ZTE has introduced a low-cost tablet in the UK , Light 2 , which will be marketed to March . First time that a Chinese manufacturer ZTE will sell and Android tablet in the European market.
The tablet will have characteristics of low-end , but ZTE has always thought of low-cost devices, to embrace a medium-low range market. So after ZTE Libra, Skate etc.., here comes the first tablet . \
