Rumor - Galaxy Note 2: Jelly Bean, flexible screen and 12 megapxel camera

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Friday, June 15, 2012 | 02:07

Imagine obviously does not cost anything and as long as the rumors and news circulating on the network are taken with due caution, we can also assume very curious features. They come new speculations on the alleged fact Galaxy Note 2 that may come in autumn renewing the hardware of the current model to one year after the first, as often happens. After seeing the Galaxy S3 you could expect a similar hardware even if probably the 2GB of RAM and maybe could not fail to reach even to 1.8Ghz Exynos 5212 Dual Core processor.
To this is added, however, a new speculation concerning the one hand the operating system that could be Jelly Bean, on the other a new type of screen. Obviously, as it is easy to deduce, these are mere fantasies based on probable hypotheses. Jelly Bean could be presented at the upcoming Google I / O and get right with the new Nexus 7-inch Tablet or in 1 year after the debut of ICS. In the first case, Note 2 could also come out with Android 4.1, the second alternative is to exclude.

With regard to the screen, there is even talk of flexible display without, however, specify the shape of the hypothetical product. The theme of the flexible screen once again comes to fashion because it is one of the most anticipated innovation and Samsung has announced that it is imminent and arriving between 2012 and 2013. Speculating on Notes 2 and the flexible screen does not cost hardly anything even if we make the realistic assumption.
When Samsung will create products with special screens, probably launch a new range of products with different names yet. Do not just have to wait developments and see if something concrete and more realistic emerge in the coming months.

Rumor - Samsung Galaxy W with Windows Phone?

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 | 07:47

Having dealt with the "effort" to meet the expectations of millions of consumers with Galaxy S3, Samsung also comes back to focus on models for mobile OS from Microsoft. From dutch portal WP7.nl comes in fact a partial confirmation that something is brewing: the log file of the app WP Bench  dedicated to the benchmarks of different wp7 devices has emerged a new Windows Phone from the South Korean giant.
The suspect is a Samsung Galaxy W carrying Windows Phone version 7.5 Refresh , a sign that the maybe soon we will see new Samsung Windows Phone as you can see from the screenshot above. However we cannot be sure that this will true since this is not 100% sure  confirmed device, even the name Galaxy W is not very convincing.
Also to take into account the possibility that the device is used only for testing the operating system Windows Phone. We look forward to any confirmations and denials.

Rumor - Samsung wants to buy Nokia for 15 billion euros

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Saturday, June 9, 2012 | 01:10

Nokia, the company's most popular mobile division, in a couple of years has lost the world biggest phone maker title to Samsung.

And now according to the Finish site Kauppalehti.fi Samsung intends to purchase Nokia for € 4 per share, for total amount of 15 billion euros. Currently the price of each Nokia share is about € 2.34. Currently neither company has confirmed or denied the report, although it is difficult to imagine a situation with Nokia is increasingly tied to Microsoft.

If Samsung really had intentions to buy Nokia would still encounter antitrust problems since the market shares of the two giants. Previous rumors, but they see Microsoft intends to acquire Nokia to make it an icon of its mobile operating system (in this case could be problems with other manufacturers).

Galaxy Note 2 coming in October with 5.5 inches display and Exynos 5250 processor?

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Monday, June 4, 2012 | 11:52

After many speculations about the Galaxy S3, it's time to talk about the Galaxy Notes 2, the device is not announced but Samsung definitely will release the second generation of its very successful first  gen. Galaxy Note in the coming months as now happens every year for high-end products. Although there is no official information, around the internet rumors are spread about technical requirements, specifications and hardware of the next super smartphones of the Korean producer.
Scheduled for October 2012 the new Samsung Galaxy 2 Notes may will be even bigger thanks to the screen diagonal of 5.5 inch Super AMOLED and a resolution even more than is assumed in WSXGA (1680 × 1050). A definition that would provide 360-dpi resolution and readability definitely high in all conditions. Conservative 8 megapixel camera but could benefit from a better optical sensor. Obviously D-Pen renovated and LTE connectivity can not miss, even with the variation of HSPA + to LTE markets without.
Processor is assumed to be the new dual-core Cortex-based architecture Exynos 5250-A15 clocked at 1.8GHz or higher associated with 2GB of RAM. From Galaxy S3 it will inherit all the connectivity, motion sensors, and software refinements like UX capabilities with D-Pen. Certainly interesting that a product might actually look like what is described with an aesthetic similar to the image shown in the opening article.

Samsung sells over 50 million units of first two Galaxy S models, 7 million Samsung GALAXY Notes

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Friday, June 1, 2012 | 01:03

According to the latest sales results confirmed by Samsung, since its launch in June of 2010, have been sold 24 million  Samsung Galaxy S  smarphones and the result of its direct successor to Samsung Galaxy S2 (still considered one of the best Android smartphone on the market ) has reached 28 million units sold in about half the time. In total therefore the previous two generations of the Galaxy line S have moved a turnover of more than 50 million units, according to initial estimates of the numbers that will be equaled and probably surpassed by the Samsung Galaxy S3 which has already reached the 9 million pre-orders .

Good results also for the Galaxy note that the release took place last October has already placed more than 7 million units worldwide, a sign that many users were satisfied with the large 5.3-inch display and the new band device opened by the Korean manufacturer with this device.

Samsung Galaxy SIII Pebble Blue arrived in Vietnam

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Thursday, May 31, 2012 | 03:21

Good news for all buyers who are waiting for the Samsung Galaxy SIII Pebble Blue version. Although difficult to see him in Italy before the middle of June, Korea started the first shipments of Blu versions of the product. The first country to see the Pebble Blue version is Vietnam, but surely other countries in the coming days will see the first deliveries.
Although the delay is due to a problem of painting the back cover, Samsung seems to be able to quickly correct the error and the total delay in the world could be so pretty content. So a few more days to see him in blue in Europe, perhaps in the first on-line store and then physically in stores.

Samsung Launches Premium Music Hub in the UK, France and Germany

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 | 05:25

Today is not only the day of the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III, because apparently the Korean company had another trick up its sleeve that has thus far wisely kept hidden from the eyes of the world, namely the "extension" of its Music Hub which now becomes a complete music store that points directly to compete with the likes of Apple and Google.

British, French and German users  will be able to benefit from a streaming service that will draw from a catalog of 19 million songs , with 100 GB of space in the cloud for you: obviously similar services are not free, but at a cost of € 9.99 per month.  For those who would rather not subscribe, there will always be able to listen to tracks purchased, either by phone or through web interface .
The new Music Hub will become a standard in future models of the company, and not necessarily just talking about phones, plus the service will later be distributed on a global scale , although we have no precise information on either the timing or countries involved, in any case, the common goal was to make as much as the messaging app Chaton .
Below is the full press release

Nokia and Samsung working on 3D mobile displays

Posted by ~ Erch ~ on Friday, May 18, 2012 | 03:03

Until now, only LG and HTC have decided to produce smartphone with 3D display, but something could change in coming months. Recently, Nokia and Samsung have managed to register patents at the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) on the 3D technology.
The patent Nokia plans to use a screen capable of handling images in two and three dimensions, probably with a switch that would allow the transition from 2D to 3D. The display should also provide a stereoscopic view of reality in three dimensions: the eyes see the same scene from two different positions, the brain combines these two images and computes the depth.
Clearly it is difficult to predict if and when Nokia will start producing and selling 3D display device, since Windows Phone seems very far away from this technology. Things change when you consider Samsung: Android and is ready for many months PlayStore contains several exclusive titles for smartphones 3D.
