The deployment of MCR3 (Consumer Mango Refresh 3) or Windows Phone Tango is already on a roll for several days now and allowed many owners of Nokia Lumia 710 and 800 to complete the update. The software platform of the two smartphones Lumia seems to be intended to receive a new update. The information is obtainable from Navifirm , the server that contains all the new firmware and software updates for the Nokia. In Navifirm has just published the new 8779 software release , which should refer to an update post-Tango (8773).
More specifically, the two new builds would be the 1750.805.8779.12221 for Lumia 800 and the 1600.3031.8779.12810 for Lumia 710 . We are still not entirely clear what changes will be introduced with this release, but we note that the new build has already been used by the community of independent developers to create new versions of custom ROM. As an example theROM Lumiatrix ^ 7 for the Lumia 710 , based precisely on the new build 8779.12180.
At the time the new builds are only available for versions of the Lumia 710 and 800 sold in some Asian markets.

Having dealt with the "effort" to meet the expectations of millions of consumers with Galaxy S3, Samsung also comes back to focus on models for mobile OS from Microsoft. From dutch portalWP7.nlcomes in fact a partial confirmation that something is brewing: the log file of the app WP Bench dedicated to the benchmarks of different wp7 devices has emerged a new Windows Phone from the South Korean giant.
The suspect is a Samsung Galaxy W carrying Windows Phone version 7.5 Refresh , a sign that the maybe soon we will see new Samsung Windows Phone as you can see from the screenshot above. However we cannot be sure that this will true since this is not 100% sure confirmed device, even the name Galaxy W is not very convincing.
Also to take into account the possibility that the device is used only for testing the operating system Windows Phone. We look forward to any confirmations and denials.

While the information on a possible upgrade to Windows Phone 8 for the current devices are scarce, it seems that Nokia has started pre-installing Windows Phone Tango on Lumia smartphones.
As was reported by WPCentral one of there tippers send his smartphone for repair, a Lumia 710 with Roger (Canada) and received replacement device with pre-installed WP7 OS Build 8773. The firmware is, as we know, the new version of Windows Phone, or Tango / Mango Refresh.
Is this a sign that the official Tango release is really very close?

Windows Phones from the second generation was very complicated and inaccessible to hackers and geeks of the platform, mainly because of increased security of the system introduced by Mango. Today, however, the well-known DFT team has published a new guide on XDA Please install a new HSPL that will flash Custom ROM in HTC Radar and Titan.
The procedure for intallation dell'HSPL the DFT is a bit 'complicated and therefore only recommend for advanced users. In any case, then you Please install the terminal on your new Custom ROM DFT always created by the team where you can fully exploit the Full Unlock the device.
The ROM's are based on build 8773 Tango and have the following changelog:
Replace HTC Apps software, add the Registry editor, file explorers ... etc.
Few tweaks, DFT Full Unlock, support XAP download and install through Internet Explorer, full play Xbox Live games
Internet Sharing, Static MAC Address Fix
Keeps 2nd HTC boot screen
As always we invite you to read carefully the guidance given that such a procedure, as well as voiding the warranty, can damage seriously your terminal. If you have a second-generation HTC and want to run a Full Unlock you can refer to these links:
After having reported the number of applications not currently compatible with a thorough analysis of performance and functionality, we return to talk about today's Lumia 610 and its compartment hardware. Thanks to an article by András Velvárt, Silverlight MVP and developer of 3D Browser Surfcube, we have examined the performance of CPU, GPU and Memory of the Nokia Lumia 610.
The new entry level Nokia with 800Mhz processor and 256Mb of Ram, was subjected to comparisons with Lumia 800 with 1.4GHz processor and 512Mb of Ram, and LG Optimus 7 with 1 GHz processor and 512Mb of Ram.
As for the tests on the processor the developer decided to compare the timing of starting the application drawing of the stars of Lumia 610, LG Optimus 7, and Lumia 800 SDK emulator.
The report of this application have shown that with the increase of the elements to load the processor Lumia 610 has often approached the start-up time required by the LG's Optimus 7, ensuring all in all a good computing power.
The real surprise comes from the GPU performance. As can be seen in the table above, the Lumia 610 is able to obtain a good number of FramesPerSecond, quite easily surpassing the performance offered by the Windows Phone by LG!
The FPS in fact begin to fall on an Optimus 7 Fill Rate (parameter used to evaluate the performance of a video card) of only 2.5, revealed a critical point at 5. The Lumia 610 shows much more stable and efficient, arriving at the threshold of 30FPS with a Fill Rate to 8.5.
So, ignoring the fact that some applications are still running pretty slow, the real problem of Lumia 610 seems to be the volatile memory: the 90MB reserved for each application with the devices with 512Mb RAM, 60Mb of Lumia down to 610 . Fortunately, Microsoft Windows Phone Tango has worked extensively on Paging File, providing additional virtual memory for applications, but this technique can cause swapping On the same time because of delays to the system is increased the workload of the processor.
Paging File : To the memory of the physical RAM is the amount of virtual memory paging file, which is a file that the operating system created to simulate a larger amount of RAM.
Perhaps with further improvement of Frameworks SDK and things will greatly improve, but for now we can not help that the question asked yesterday would not have been better to choose 384MB of RAM?

Nokia Lumia 610,the new entry level Nokia Windows Phone is still struggling with some apps and games that are not compatible with the desired specifications restricted by the low RAM amount.
So, after listing some of the titles are not compatible, we now offer the most accurate statistics of games and applications that are not (yet) supported by Windows Phone with 256MB of RAM (Lumia 610).
As was reported by a study AAWP, applications are not compatible with Windows Phone from 256Mb of RAM is 1,387, or 1, 6% of all those present in the Marketplace.Unfortunately, entering into in greater detail in this analysis, a good 25% of Xbox Live and a good 5% of the 10,000 applications downloaded by users do not support the Lumia 610.
AAWP also pointed out that among the new applications, compiled with the Windows Phone SDK 7.1.1, only 0.8% ( 250 ) do not support restricted to specific devices and Tango with 256Mb of RAM. It is therefore hoped that with each passing week of the Marketplace Lumia 610 may be increasingly rich applications.
If you are interested you can find the complete report of AAWP in the followingPDF.

After RanbowMod Lumia for Nokia 710 , the Custom ROM based on Tango, which allows a wide range of device customization, here comes one for the Nokia Lumia 800.The author is the same lucifer3006 from XDA , which has created a version of RainbowMod ROM for the Chinese version of Lumia 800 with firmware revision 1750.805.8773.12140 (Tango).
Here are the changes made to the firmware of the device:
Full Unlock
Removed applications of Nokia
Customizable Search Button
Quick Menu to turn on Wifi, 3G, Airplane Mode, Power Saving, etc..
Ability to access the File System via WiFi and USB
Eventually even the 800 can take advantage of Lumia Full Unlock although, remember, the ROM can be installed only on devices that has unlocked Qualcomm bootloader, at this time turns out to be a very small number.

Even in the great China, as it happened in USA, Lumia Nokia devices are getting excellent sales results. As reported by Michel van der Bel , the Vice President of Microsoft, the market share of Windows Phone in China has risen to 7% in just two months , outstripping iPhone share which is stuck at 6%.
It 's certainly a very exciting because it confirms the excellent work done by Nokia and Microsoft to promote their products, but also an encouragement to continue and do better to win the favor of a greater number of Chinese consumers. This will not be easy but if brought to fruition will contribute significantly to the recovery of Nokia.
The conditions to continue on this road we are all, especially considering that we are only beginning of evolution of the operating system from Microsoft and Windows 8 will surely further boost to its spread, thanks to future mobile devices Nokia, a brand that China has always enjoyed a good reputation and trust of users.
While there is certainly plenty to do in China, and the disproportionate market share of Android is confirmed, but if these are the premises is not excluded that in a short time can match it or even exceed it. And to achieve this goal Microsoft has deployed a team of 2,500 engineers of their own R & D (research and development) to focus precisely on the Asian market.

According to the results of a consumer survey conducted by the company Kantar, the Windows Phone market share has exceeded 3% - 4% share in key markets
The best numbers were obtained in Germany, Great Britain, Italy, France and the United States where in the last 12 weeks the percentage of penetration of the Microsoft operating system has grown from less than 2% (January 2012) to over 3%, increments up to 6% (in Germany).
In USA even seems that sales of Windows Phone device may have equaled or exceeded the market share from RIM, thanks to the excellent sales result of Nokia Lumia devices
Kantar provides the market share of Windows Phone in Europe could reach 10% in the second half of 2012, a forecast rather credible if you think the advertisements of new devices of various manufacturers, primarily Nokia, which has recently given way to the start of the sales of its entry level the Lumia 610 .

We continue to discover new details in the Nokia Lumia 900 that can be bought today in the United Kingdom . Among the changes noted in the operating system (Tango) that powers the device now we can see that the Microsoft's Windows Phone Marketplace on the Lumia 900 is now being branded with Nokia's own logo. The news itself is not so ground shacking, but it's one of the first signs of Nokia's influence on the Windows Phone operating system.
According to the image at the beginning it seems that Nokia could have started using its privilege to make customizations to windows phone UI. The hypothesis that Nokia has begun to make customizations to the UI of Windows Phone is definitely interesting.
At the moment Nokia, like other producers who have chosen the Windows Phone platform, has a space in the official Markeplace that contains the unique applications for the device and the hypothesized Lumia store of the original agreement has not yet been realized.
The customization of the icon contained in the Marketplace software Lumia 900 does not prove the existence of the store, but it represents another small area of freedom granted to the Finnish manufacturer which hopefully others will follow.
Announced at the Mobile World Congress last February, the Nokia Lumia 610 is now on sale in China. The low cost Windows Phone device of the Finnish giant, completes the first steps into the vast Chinese market, very important test for Nokia that puts high hopes on this smartphone sales to recover and regain lost market share in last month.
The Nokia Lumia 610 , remember, has a hardware detuned compared to other Windows Phone devices currently on the market. And in fact equipped with 800 MHz processor and 256 MB RAM, characteristics that will allow Nokia to be able to sell at a low price, below 200 Euros.
Here are some shots of the sales package made by the Chinese sitewpdang.com
It seems that the much-discussed update to Windows Phone Tango is being released at this very hour, to report it is Aviraj Ajgekar, Technology Evangelist for Microsoft writing on his technet blog that his unlocked HTC Mozart received an update that upgraded his HTC Mozart to software version 7.10.8779.8.
You acknowledge that you have received as many as 3 consecutive updates to bring your own device, the shift has seen these different versions, build 8112.7 -> 8773.98 -> 8779.8.Despite this, the download time of several updates is quite low, probably because Windows Phone Tango does not offer a significant number of new features.,mostly some fixes and updates to the OS (mostly around enhancing MMS).
Update: Aviraj has deleted the post from his blog and no one else is reportedly getting this update. Is yet another Microsoft employee being misinformed or was this an internal update for testing?

One of the most eagerly awaited function by users in possession of one of the recent Nokia Lumiasmartphones is the possibility to share access to the internet wirelessly. This is a feature already used by other Windows Phone competitors who, unfortunately, not available with either Lumia 800, or the Lumia 710.
Confirming recent rumors that the possibility of the 'internet sharing will be part of the next software update for the Lumia 710. More specifically it will be the firmware 1600.3030.8773.1212 , while the number of software version will be 7.10.8773.98 .
The update should be released shortly, given that you have already seen on Nokia's servers. A similar update could be released for the Lumia 800, still waiting to use the useful function of internet sharing.

The site mimovilwindows said to have received some news on the release of a Windows Phone Tango for existing smartphones from a reliable source. According to reports, upgrade to Tango is ready and pending approval from the manufacturers and mobile operators. The build of this new version should be the Zune through 8773 and the release should arrive at the beginning of the month of June 2012.
Another info that we can read on the site is that Microsoft probably decided to move the release of Windows Phone Tango expected this month in the month of June, to allow more time for all operators to approve the update and release it all in a very limited time.
